Thursday, May 4:

8 am – Noon: Rescue Team Development & Implementation
An active shooter course for emergency responders. This class is offered with no registrations fees but is limited to 20 attendees, please register online to reserve your spot. Rooms D202-203

NEW! 10 am – Noon: FEMA Grant Writing Workshop
Work with Brain Ipsen from FEMA on writing effective grants for fire departments. Rooms D204

1 pm – 4 pm: Firefighter Survival Course Description
This course is introduced by a review of firefighter responsibility in prevention of mayday emergencies. The warning signs and specific prevention strategies will be discussed before practical demonstrations. Hands-on training will include realistic, simple, case-based tactics for the mitigation of both firefighter trapped above-the-ground-floor and trapped in-basement type emergencies. Participants will progress through the demonstrated skills escaping both problems and facilitating rescue from basements. This is a strenuous course is designed to impart skills which will effectively minimize the severity of these mayday scenarios. This class is offered with no registrations fees but is limited to 15 attendees, please register online to reserve your spot. Meeting location TBD

This course covers Command and Control aspects of the overall scene and extrication. Its practical application is designed for firefighters to battalion chiefs. Course also covers interior stabilization as well as patient care and removal. This class is offered with no registrations fees but is limited to 30 attendees, please register online to reserve your spot. Rooms D202-203
